Update: Children Found Unattended at Bay Shore Mall

***UPDATE***

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives have located the children’s parents and they will be reunited. The children, Tyler, 2, and Abigail, 3, who are not related, were taken to Westfield South Shore Mall by Nicole Noble, a daycare school aid from Elite Christian Daycare in Brooklyn. Noble, 34, of 39-23 Avenue I, Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with two counts of Abandonment of a Child and two counts of Endangerment of a Child. She is being held at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.

The investigation is continuing.

Incident:          Children Found Unattended at Bay Shore Mall

Location:        Westfield South Shore, 1701 Sunrise Highway, Bay Shore

Date/Time:      Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at approximately 2 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the relatives or caregivers of two toddlers that were found unattended at a Bay Shore mall earlier this afternoon.

A girl and a boy, both approximately 3 or 4-years-old, were found playing at the Westfield South Shore mall, located at 1701 Sunrise Highway, at approximately 2 p.m. The children, who may be cousins, were found at the south end of the mall near JC Penny and Panera Bread.

The girl, whose name may be Abby, is described as black and was wearing a blue and purple Dora the Explorer knit hat, a black Nike jacket with pink lining, blue jeans and tan-colored boots with hearts. The boy, whose name may be Tyler, is described as black and was wearing a red knit cap, a dark-colored jacket with a Montreal patch on the left sleeve, a grey & neon orange sweatshirt and black and white puma sneakers.

Detectives ask anyone who can identify or locate the children’s relatives to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
