Scam Alert: There have been reports in various locations around the state of people being called about missing jury duty. The callers are claiming to be Police Officers and asking the victims to load money on a Green Dot card in this scam.
If you need to verify someone's employment, get their name and then look up a phone number for that Department yourself and call to confirm. NEVER use the phone number they supply you. NO legitimate Department, Court, etc. will need you to pay by green dot card, wiring money, etc.
If you receive such a call, record the number they are calling from and contact the police.
