The far right lane of South Beretania St. near Ward Avenue is temporarily closed for the next one-and-a-half to two hours as Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair a damaged customer service line at 900 S. Beretania St. Motorists are asked to please avoid the area, if possible.
A contractor working in the area reportedly damaged the line shortly after 1:30 p.m., disrupting water service to the Honolulu Museum of Art. The BWS anticipates that repairs will be made before the end of this afternoon’s rush hour.
An update will be issued when repairs are completed and the lane is re-opened.
