UPDATE: 13 Year Old Victim Located in Attempt Kidnapping Incident. Investigation On-Going. #LASD #SCV
Detectives assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station continued their investigation throughout the night into an alleged attempt kidnapping incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at approximately 8:30am in the area of Sierra Highway and Jakes Way, Santa Clarita. Detectives have located and are now in contact with a 13 year old female who they believe is the victim in this incident. Detectives have now also located and are in contact with additional witnesses.
Guillermo Lomeli Ceniceros, a 39 year old male from the Rosamond area was arrested on November 12, 2014 at approximately 9:15am by deputies assigned to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. He is currently being held at the station on $100,000 bail and is due in North Valley Superior Court on November 14, 2014.

Santa Clarita Valley Station Detectives are requesting the public’s help in locating a victim of an attempted kidnapping that occurred on today’s date at approximately 0830 hours, this morning. A witness saw a male Hispanic adult, grab and attempt to take a female Hispanic girl approximately 16 years old, who standing on side walk near a bus stop in Canyon Country. The girl was fighting with the suspect. The witness stopped their vehicle yelled at the suspect, who then released the victim. The witness told the victim to run and called the Sheriff’s Department. The witness kept an eye on the suspect and directed the responding deputies to his location. The suspect was taken into custody. The victim is unidentified has not yet come forward.
The Sheriff’s Department is checking with the local high schools, and the public with the goal of identifying the victim and interviewing her. She is described as a female Hispanic, approximately 16 years old, long curly hair, with a bow. She was wearing a plaid shirt, a skirt and knee high socks (NFD). Sheriff’s Detectives need this victim’s help and the help of any other persons who witnessed or may have information about the incident.
