Three Men Charged in Attempted Murder Cases

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook announces that Investigators have made quick arrests in three weekend shooting incidents all stemming from arguments.

*The first shooting occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 4012 Trotter Road.
Kenneth Scott, (DOB: 5-21-1992) is charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Scott is accused of arguing and physically fighting with the male victim before shooting him in both legs. Medical staff tells CPD that the injuries are not life-threatening.

*The second shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the same day at 1505 Garden Plaza, Gonzalez Gardens.
Robert Gray (DOB: 4-4-1953) allegedly shot the male victim in the leg.
A bystander at the scene rendered aid to the victim until EMS arrived. Medical staff tells CPD that the victim did not suffer from life-threatening injuries.

*Then, shortly before midnight on November 8, 2014, Xavier Lamb (DOB: 1-1-1996) allegedly shot at two men while they were walking at the 1600 block of Gregg Street.
No one was injured during this incident.
Lamb is charged with Two Counts of Attempted Murder and Two Counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.

The suspects were all booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

All persons arrested/charged are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law.
