UPDATE #LASD Shooting Death Investigation, 37200 Block of 47th Street East, Palmdale, Homicide Bureau

UPDATE:

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of man, in the 37200 block of 47th Street East, Palmdale.

Detectives have learned on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at approximately 12:26 PM, deputies responded to a call of a “Gunshot victim” at a local fast food restaurant.  When deputies arrived, they discovered the victim, 38 year old, Habib Zekajj, lying on the floor inside the restaurant, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

At the time of the shooting there were approximately 15-20 patrons inside the restaurant as well as employees.  According to witnesses, victim Zekajj was seated at a table eating lunch when the suspect, a male Black adult, walked up to him and shot him multiple times with a handgun.  The suspect then ran out the door and out of view.   It appears that victim Zekajj was the intended target of the suspect and that this was not a random shooting.

The murder weapon and the suspect are still outstanding.

There is no further information at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
