Telephone Scam Alert: Be advised there is a telephone scam from the area code of 877 calling residents. 
The Troy Police Department has received numerous calls regarding a telephone scam. If you get a telephone call from a number with the area code of 877 be advised it is probably a scam.
Several residents and officers have received calls from the number 877-972-4666 stating our bank account with First Bank has been compromised They give you the option to press 1 to continue or to call the number back. The caller is a computer generated voice.
Please be aware of this scam and do not give them any personal information.
