Driving Under the Influence
Location: 3100 Block of De La Cruz Boulevard
An officer observed a vehicle going eastbound on Aldo Avenue at a high rate of speed, and made a wide right turn from the #2 lane to the #1 lane on southbound De La Cruz Boulevard without signaling. A traffic stop was initiated. Upon contact, the officer observed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The officer had the driver perform standardized field sobriety tests. A Records check revealed the driver had a suspended driver’s license, a bench warrant for his arrest from South San Francisco and two prior convictions for driving under the influence. He was arrested and transported to the County jail.

Burglary
Location: 3600 Block of Flora Vista Avenue
An unknown suspect entered the victim's apartment through an open bedroom window and stole two cell phones and a watch. One victim in the bedroom woke up during the incident and confronted the suspect. The suspect punched and slapped the victim before leaving the apartment through the front door. The unknown suspect is still at large.

Robbery
Location: 4300 Block of Lick Mill Boulevard
A female victim and her husband were walking near Thamien Park when an unknown suspect grabbed the gold necklace from around her neck. During the incident, part of the necklace fell to the ground. When the suspect tried to retrieve the piece, the husband grabbed onto the suspect’s arm. The suspect punched the victim and fled on foot. Police contact was delayed due to lack of a cell phone. The suspect remains at large.

A female victim walking in front of the Marina Cove Apartments had a gold necklace snatched from around her neck. A witness chased the suspect, but could not catch him. The suspect remains at large.

Robbery
Location: 3400 Block of El Camino Real
An unknown male suspect entered Walgreen’s on the 3400 block of El Camino Real. He approached the cosmetic counter to purchase an item. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect passed a note saying he had a gun and demanded all the money. The clerk removed the money from the register and gave it to the suspect. The suspect then walked out of the store in an unknown direction and could not be located by police.

Grand Theft
Location: 2300 Block of El Camino Real
Officers responded to the Starbucks on the 2300 block of El Camino Real on the report of two suspects who fled the area after smashing a window of a parked car, and stealing the laptops and passports of three victims. Despite officer’s attempts, the suspects were not located.

At approximately 1445 hours, a citizen located the three laptop cases discarded by the fleeing felons and used a business card in one of the cases to contact the victims. The victims called SCPD and an officer met the citizen to obtain the evidence.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Location: 3600 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
An officer in an unmarked vehicle was on the 3600 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard when four adult males pulled into a handicapped parking stall. Suspect #2 and #3 threw several items into a green clothing recycling container and on the sidewalk. The officer attempted to initiate contact with the vehicle’s occupants by turning on the lights and sirens, and approaching the vehicle. The vehicle’s engine started, the brake lights came on, and Suspect #1 accelerated at a high rate of speed. The suspect’s rear bumper struck the police vehicle, moving the patrol vehicle backwards. The officer attempted to block the suspect’s vehicle however he accelerated forward, turned and exited onto Stevens Creek Boulevard. Officers attempted to locate the suspect vehicle without success.

The items thrown into the recycling bin belonged to at least two car clout victims on Stevens Creek Boulevard.

NOTE: Since August 1, 2014, there have been 46 vehicle burglaries (also known as car clouts) on Stevens Creek Boulevard. In many of these cases, the burglaries occur at one location, the electronics are removed from the stolen bags and the bags are dumped at a separate location.

Location: 700 Block of Scott Boulevard
An unknown suspect(s) broke a small, front window of a business on the 700 block of Scott Boulevard. The suspect then entered the business through the broken window, stole various sunglasses from a display shelves and exited the business fleeing the scene. The suspect(s) remain at large.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Lafayette Street and Parker Court
An officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the dead end of Parker Court. A Records check revealed the female driver had an outsanding warrant for $5,000 out of Mountain View. She was arrested and transported to the County jail.
