Burglars Wearing Masks Break into Gas Stations

Columbia Police Investigators are releasing surveillance pictures of two men accused of burglarizing several businesses in the City of Columbia and other jurisdictions.

The suspects have disguised their faces by wearing either a black or a green ‘alien-style’ Halloween- mask.

Both men used various items to smash the windows or doors at the businesses including a tire iron, car jack and a cinder block. Once the men gained entry, they stole several packs of cigarettes.
The stores were all closed at the time of the burglaries.

The crimes have occurred at the following locations:

3:20 a.m.

 Hess Gas Station
271 Harbison Boulevard
October 21, 2014
3:24 a.m.

 Li’l Cricket Convenience Store
2715 Main Street
October 21, 2014
4:05 a.m.

In two of the cases, a white late model, possibly a 1982-1993 Chevy S-10 pick-up truck was used as a getaway vehicle.
