On Monday October 20, 2014 at about 9:30 p.m. officers responded to reports of a woman who had been stabbed in the 1100 blk of Grand Ave. Upon arrival officers located a 59 year old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. Investigating officers were advised that the woman’s ex-boyfriend, ROBERT SCHOOLER, attacked her as she was leaving her home. SCHOOLER reportedly told the victim he was going to kill her and proceeded to stab her multiple times. A neighbor heard the victim yell for help and came to her aid. SCHOOLER then fled on foot from the area.
At about 11:30 p.m. officers located SCHOOLER and took him into custody. SCHOOLER was arrested for 1st Degree Attempted Homicide and Disorderly Conduct.
The victim was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
