Barstow - Suspect, Wiber Millner, arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 22200 block of West Main St., Barstow
SUSPECT: Wilber Millner, age 58 a resident of Barstow
VICTIM: William Ott, age 51 a resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On Friday, October 17, 2014, at approximately 1:23 p.m., deputies from the Barstow Sheriff'S Station responded to the
22200 block of West Main Street in Barstow following the report of an assault. Upon arrival, deputies determined the suspect, identified as Wilber Millner, hit the victim William Ott in the arm using a metal shovel with a serrated edge. Ott stated Millner hit him twice using the shovel. He had two injuries; one to the left hand and one to the left arm. The injuries consisted of pain and swelling. Ott declined medical treatment.
The victim provided a physical description of Millner. Deputies conducted their investigation and located Millner at his residence
where he was taken into custody for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
