Barstow suspect arrested for Reckless Driving was also booked for bringing controlled substance into a Jail Facility

INCIDENT: Reckless Driving / Bringing a Controlled Substance Into Jail
LOCATION: 1400 Block W. Main Street / Barstow Sheriff Jail
SUSPECT: Ryan Robertson, age 23 years a resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, October 16h, 2014 at approximately 11:05 p.m. Deputy Randy Duran was on patrol in the area of H. Street and Main Street in the city of Barstow. He observed a motorcyclist travelling east on Main Street at a high rate of speed weaving in and out of traffic. Robertson's speed was estimated to be in excess of 85 mph as he approached the 200 block of W. Main Street.
Deputy Duran made a traffic enforcement stop of Robertson at Main Street and Barstow Road. Robertson was taken into
custody for reckless driving, his motorcycle was towed and stored, he was transported to the Barstow Sheriff Jail for booking.
While in the booking intake area of the jail, Deputy Duran located suspected methamphetamine concealed in Robertson's
pants pocket. Robertson was subsequently booked for violation of P.C. 4573, bringing a controlled substance into a jail facility.Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Deputy Randy Duran of the Barstow Sheriff's Station
