Arlington Police seeking the public’s help on identifying robber

APD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man that is believed to have been responsible for at least two robberies in Arlington. On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, the suspect walked into a bank in the 2200 block of N. Collins Street and demanded money from the teller while displaying a handgun. On Thursday, October 9, 2014, this same man is believed to have robbed a bank inside of a grocery store in the 900 block of W. Lamar Blvd. This person may also be responsible for other robberies in the DFW area.

The suspect is described as a black man, 25-35 years-of-age, 5’6”-5’9” tall, 160 lbs., goatee, last seen wearing a long sleeve khaki jacket or black jacket with fuzzy lining. He was also wearing a light-colored t-shirt with white lettering, black New York Yankees ball cap with metallic sticker on the bill, and gold reflective sunglasses.

Possible cars that might be associated with these incidents include a blue SUV, possibly a Chevrolet or GMC, a white Dodge Avenger or 200, or possibly a red Hyundai passenger car. Anyone with information on who this individual might be is asked to call Arlington Police Detective Sean Wheetley at 817-459-5678. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS and may be eligible for a cash reward.
