Press Release - Stabbing/Armed Robbery

On Tuesday October 7, 2014 at 11:58 p.m. officers responded to the 2200blk of Washington Ave reference a stabbing. Upon their arrival they found the victim, a 65 year old male, suffering from numerous stab wounds to his upper body and head. The victim was attacked as he entered his apartment building. The offenders robbed the victim during the attack.

Officers began checking the area and quickly located both suspects a short distance away. Officers were able to recover some of the victim’s stolen items as well as other evidence of the crime. The victim was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare for treatment and later moved to Froedtert Hospital. His injuries are serious but not believed to be life threatening at this time.

Two suspects are being held at the Racine County Jail on Probation/Parole Holds while the investigation continues.
