CPD Releases Photo of Hit and Run Vehicle

CPD's Traffic Safety Unit is releasing a surveillance picture of a vehicle involved in a hit and run incident that injured two pedestrians.

The incident occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. on October 3, 2014 at the intersection of Greene and Harden Streets.

The vehicle is described as a 1998 gold or tan Buick Century that may have front bumper or hood damage.

A witness was able to take a photograph of the license plate before the vehicle left the scene; SC Tag: JCS925.

Officers continue to try and locate the driver.

Preliminary information suggests that the two female pedestrians were traveling South on Harden Street and lawfully utilizing the crosswalk when they were struck by the vehicle.

It is believed that the driver was traveling South on Harden Street and turned right onto Greene Street when impact was made.

The driver did not stop to render aid to the victims.

The victims did not receive life-threatening injuries. They were treated and released by EMS.
