Sheriff's Homicide Detail is Investigating a Homicide that Occurred in Joshua Tree

LOCATION: 6700 block of California Avenue, Joshua Tree
SUSPECT: Unknown
VICTIM: Marko Bewersdorff, age 46 a resident of Joshua Tree
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, September 28, 2014, at approximately 3:56 p.m., paramedics responded to a medical aid call, at a residence located in the 6700 block of California Avenue, in Joshua Tree. Upon arriving at the location, paramedics located a deceased male. As a result, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Morongo Basin Station, responded to the scene.
Deputies determined the decedent, Marko Bewersdorff, was the victim of a homicide. Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Homicide Detail, are assisting with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available for release at this time.
