Update to the shooting that occurred on S. State Hwy 342 in front of Whataburger on 09/23/2014
After interviewing witnesses, reviewing video surveillance, and available evidence it has been determined that the suspect identified as LeJonathan Cox of Midlothian, Texas fired multiple rounds at Jacolby Foreman of Red Oak, Texas. Forman was struck one time in the chest and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit listed in serious but stable condition after several surgeries. There were also two females in the vehicle, both from Midlothian.
This investigation is ongoing and warrants are forthcoming for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unauthorized use of a vehicle for taking the vehicle after the shooting occurred.
