Did you know that medicines in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisoning? Just as disturbing, are the alarmingly high rates of prescription drug abuse among teens.
A National study by The Partnership at Drugfree.org and the MetLife Foundation found teens who misuse or abuse prescription medicines get them from a family member or friend. More often than not, these drugs are found in our medicine cabinets.
This year U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Agent's (DEA) National Prescription Take-Back Day will be held Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please do your part in keeping our youths stay alcohol and drug free and drop off your unused or expired prescription medications at any of the participating sites such as the Mount Kisco Police Department.
