SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Personal Injury Accident
DATE AND TIME: Friday, Sept 19, 204 at approximately 1737 hrs
LOCATION: Washburn/Sycamore Streets, Village of Howard City

Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to respond to a personal injury accident on Friday, September 19th 2014 at approximately 5:37 p.m. Deputy investigation revealed that a 16 year old female from Howard City was traveling West on Washburn Street just East of Sycamore Street in her 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup. Passengers in the vehicle were a 16 year old female from Pierson and a 16 year old female from Howard City.

Upon entering the dirt section of Washburn Street, the driver attempted to fishtail her truck and lost control. The vehicle ran off the north edge of the roadway and upon re-entering the roadway rolled over 1-1/4 times. The driver was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Campus by Aero Med and was reported to be in critical condition. The two passengers were transported to a hospital by private vehicle where they were treated and released. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
