Muskegon Curfew Intervention Program

Muskegon Police Officers, continuing our Safe Days, Quiet Nights Initiative are patrolling the streets for curfew more than ever. But it isn’t to punish the youths. Instead, Officers are hoping to educate youths out after curfew with our Curfew Intervention Program (C.I.P).
This weekend, Officers will be working with Muskegon County Prosecutors on a pro-active approach to make our youth safer. Officers from area agencies will be conducting curfew patrols through the weekend in the Muskegon metropolitan area. Any youth found to be out after curfew will be approached by Officers and transported to the Police Department to meet with a Prosecutor and the youth’s parents. The C.I.P Program will be offered to the youth and their parent/guardian in lieu of citations.
The Muskegon Police Department would like to remind our young citizens and their parents that curfew begins at 11pm for those under the age of 17 and 10pm for those under the age of 12, unless that youth is accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Be safe, be in on Time!
