RAMSEY DAY 2014 HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2014.

THE PARADE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

FIRE DEPARTMENT PANCAKE BREAKFAST REMAINS AS SCHEDULED SATURDAY MORNING.

This afternoon at 2PM, Officials from the Borough of Ramsey, Ramsey Police, Ramsey, New Jersey Volunteer Fire Department, Ramsey Rescue Squad, Ramsey Ambulance Corps Ramsey Public Woks and Ramsey OEM met at Borough Hall for a Public Safety Briefing.

Utilizing all available weather resources, the decision was made to reschedule Ramsey Day 2014 to Sunday, September 7th, due to increasing probability of severe and hazardous weather tomorrow.

The Ramsey Day Parade has been cancelled.

The timing of all Ramsey Day events on Sunday remains unchanged. (See poster http://www.ramseynj.com/filestorage/49/RAMSEY_DAY_2014.pdf)

The Ramsey Fire Department's Pancake Breakfast will go on as scheduled on Saturday morning at 8AM.

Attached to this post are images of the forecasted weather radar for tomorrow afternoon. There is increasing probability of the following severe and hazardous weather: severe thunderstorms containing heavy rain, strong winds, hail, and lightning.

Rescheduling events is a difficult decision. However public safety remains the Borough's top priority.
