Although Peabody is still considered to be at low risk for West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis, it is important that residents take personal precautions against mosquitoes, such as using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves or other protective clothing, minimizing outdoor activity at dusk and dawn, using netting on baby carriages and playpens, and eliminating standing water around your home.
