Two Parents are Expected in Victorville Court on Monday for Willful Injury to their Child

INCIDENT: PC 273 a(a) – Willful Cruelty to a Child
LOCATION: 14000 Block of La Paz, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Audrey Joann Zuniga, 26, Victorville
Dannie Hodge Beal, 24, Victorville
VICTIM: 33 day old female
SUMMARY:
On August 25, 2014 San Bernardino County Sheriff Department's Crime's Against Children Detectives responded to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital where a 33 day old infant girl was admitted with a severe head injury. Forensic Pediatricians determined the victim's injuries were caused by unknown trauma, which was suspicious in nature.
Detectives conducted an investigation and determined that the victim's parents, Zuniga and Beal, were involved in a physical altercation, during which the infant was injured. On August 25, 2014 Zuniga was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center. Beal was arrested on August 27, 2014 and is housed at High Desert Detention Center. Both were booked for Willful Cruelty to a Child with bail set at $100,000 and are expected back in Victorville Court on Monday, September 8, 2014.
