Theft
Location: 4500 Block of Stevens Creek Boulevard
An officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard on the report that the front passenger’s side window on the victim’s vehicle was broken and items were missing. The suspect(s) were not located.

Traffic Accident
Location: 3400 Block of Pruneridge Avenue
A caller reported a major injury collision on the 3400 block of Pruneridge Avenue. First arriving officers found the involved vehicle off the roadway with an unconscious male behind the wheel. The officers smashed the driver's door window, pulled the driver outside of the vehicle and began two-person CPR. Initially, the driver had no pulse however it returned after several minutes. An investigation confirmed the driver suffered a medical event prior to losing control of his vehicle.

Weapons
Location: 700 Block of Clyde Avenue
Officers responded to the 700 block of Clyde Avenue on the report of approximately fifteen subjects in the street fighting. The reporting party informed Dispatchers one subject was holding a baseball bat.
An officer contacted a subject and located a concealed firearm and a controlled substance on his person. The subject was arrested and booked at the County jail.

Grand Theft
Location: 500 Block of Mission Street
A victim’s vehicle was locked and parked on the 500 block of Mission Street. Upon returning to his vehicle, the victim noticed the driver’s side door handle had been pried and damaged. The unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the vehicle and stole various equipment and tools.

Warrant Arrest
Location: 1300 Block of Jefferson Street
Members of the Specialized Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a probation / parolee search on the 1300 block of Jefferson Street. Male subject #1 was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Male subject #2 was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the County Jail.

NOTE: SCPD conducted a Driving Under the Influence and Driver’s License Checkpoint between 9:00pm and 2:00am on Stevens Creek Boulevard near Winchester Boulevard in Santa Clara. Two individuals were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (Case Numbers 14-009317 and 14-009320). An additional three individuals had their car towed because they did not have a valid California Driver’s License. Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Warrant Arrest
Location: Nelson Court and Nelson Drive
An officer was in the area of Eisenhower Drive and Burke Drive when a male subject riding a bicycle without a front light went south bound on Burke Drive towards Nelson Drive. As the officer approached the subject, he matched the description of a wanted person for a restraining order violation. A Records check confirmed the subject had an outstanding felony warrant for $70,000 from the Santa Clara Police Department (original case number 14-005775). The subject was arrested and transported to the County Jail.

Municipal Code Violation
Location: 3700 Block of El Camino Real
Dispatchers received an anonymous telephone tip regarding a mobile food truck parked in the Kohl's parking lot at El Camino Real and Halford Avenue. Facebook and Yelp also advertised the day, time and location of this food vendor.
An officer confirmed the presence of the food vendor and checked with the Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health regarding the status of the business. The owner held a health permit but did not hold a Santa Clara business license. This is a violation of the Municipal Code and the owner was issued an Administrative Citation.

Drugs
Location: 2400 Block of El Camino Real
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on two vehicles in a parking lot on the 2400 block of El Camino Real. Both suspects were under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the County jail.

Drugs
Location: Kiely Boulevard and Mauricia Avenue
An officer stopped a male bicyclist for violating several vehicle code violations. He originally provided a false name and date of birth. When the officer determined his true identity, it was also learned the suspect had a $6,000 misdemeanor warrant. The subsequent search incident to arrest yielded a controlled substance. The subject was arrested and transported to the County jail.

NOTE: SCPD was on hand at Santa Clara University for a sold out crowd of 10,525. No arrests were made during this soccer game between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Real Salt Lake. Four (4) fans were ejected for minor infractions.
