Final #LBSurge Update. Follow link for details

The storm surge and high surf advisory that impacted the Peninsula area this week have subsided without any flooding or damage to Peninsula residents. Vehicle access restrictions have been lifted and things are back to normal. Thanks are due to Public Works, Parks Department, LB Fire, Marine Safety Division, LB Police, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteers who worked closely together to advise residents, fill sandbags, and keep the protective berm in place around the clock for several days. Also a debt of gratitude goes out to Home Depot in Signal Hill for donating 5,000 pounds of sand.
