Lucerne Valley-Couple arrested with six children and over 60 animals living inside home. 
On Wednesday, /August 27, 2014, at approximately 4:26 P.M., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the 9000 block of Chickasaw Trail in Lucerne Valley to conduct a follow up investigation. Deputies discovered six children and over 60 animals living in the residence under deplorable conditions. The living conditions were unsuited for the children and the animals. All children were placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services, and the animals were placed in the custody of animal control. The animals ranged from dogs, rabbits, and birds.
The parents of the children, 39-year-old Venus Mills and 38-year-old Ronald Mills, were arrested for child cruelty and cruelty to animals. They were booked at the Victorville Jail and are being held on $100,000 bail each.
