Barstow- Deputies Arrest a Suspect For Residential Burglary in Progress

SUSPECT(S): Robert Martinez, 58 years of age
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Thursday, August 21, 2014, deputies from the Barstow Sheriff's Station responded to a residential burglary in progress on East Williams Street in Yermo. The victim drove past their vacant apartment complex and found the garage door open with subjects removing property. The victim confronted the subjects as deputies arrived. After completing an investigation, deputies determined 58-year-old Robert Martinez and another subject had entered the garage and removed items. Martinez was arrested and booked into the Barstow Jail for residential burglary with a $25,000 bail amount.
