On 08-21-14, at approximately 0620 hours, a brazen daylight burglary occurred at Concept Cyclery located at 1295 East Dunne Avenue #120. An unidentified suspect used a burglary tool to shatter the front window and enter the business. He used bolt cutters to successfully remove the lock from two Specialized Turbo S Electric Assisted Bicycles and flee the area with them.
Officers arrived on scene four minutes after the initial call but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a Hispanic male, stocky build, wearing khaki cargo shorts and a gray Ecko Unlimited hooded sweatshirt.
The stolen electric bicycles are new to the marketplace and are very unique in design. One was black in color and one was red/black in color. The bicycles retail for approximately $6000 each.
