Incident: Fatal Traffic Collision

Summary:
Last night, our Officers were sent to a traffic collision in the area of Central Expressway near Commercial St. Upon arrival, the Officers learned a 31- year-old male motorist was driving east on Central Expressway. As the motorist approached Commercial St., he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and collided with a light pole. The motorist succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The motorist was a Santa Clara resident and was driving a 1999 Mazda. The collision is still under investigation and the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for notifying the next of kin as well as releasing the identity of the deceased.
