Over the weekend the Pomona Police Department Explorers competed in the X-Games 2014 Competition in Monrovia, along with Explorer Posts from 22 different law enforcement agencies.
Pomona Police Explorers won trophies in the following categories:
1. Officer Ambush Scenario- 3rd
2. DUI Investigation- 1st
3. Active Shooter Scenario- 4th
4. Felony Traffic Stop- 2nd
5. Crime Scene Investigation- 1st
6. Obstacle course- 3rd
7. Dynamic warrant entry- 3rd
8. Burglary in progress- 4th
9. Drill Competition- 1st
10. Overall – 2nd Place out of 22 agencies!
There were 15 graded scenarios and our team placed in 10 out 15 events. They were only 19 points away from earning the first place spot of the overall points. The overall points are the grand total of all scenarios.
This is the second competition this year where our Explorers have competed and have been successful, securing several 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies.
