GTPD Media Release: Motorcycle Operator Succumbs To His Injuries Following A Motor Vehicle Crash On Erial Road On Thursday 8-14-2014
On Thursday August 14, 2014 at 12:55 PM, Gloucester Township Police officers responded to a motor vehicle crash and the intersection of Erial Road and Douglas Avenue arrived and found the operator of the motorcycle lying unconscious in the roadway. Officers and EMT personnel from the Gloucester Township EMS quickly attended to the operator and transported him to JFK Stratford for treatment. GTPD Traffic Safety Unit officers were advised later in the day that the operator of the motorcycle succumb to his injuries. His name is being held pending notification to the next of kin.
The operator of the second vehicle remained on location and was uninjured. Erial Road was closed for 1 and one half hours while officers of the Gloucester Township Police Departments Serious Crash Investigation Team investigated the scene. At this time, there are no charges as the crash is still under investigation.
