Suspect Wanted for Strong Armed Robbery in Loma Linda was Arrested in Cleveland County and is Now Awaiting Extradition

SUMMARY:
On July 17, 2014 at about 3:00 p.m. the victim was returning to her car after shopping at Stater Brothers. A white male adult driving a silver Honda Accord approached the victim, reached out the car window and ripped the victim's purse from her arms. The purse contained the victim's credit cards, driver's license, cell phone and $45.00 cash. The suspect fled in the Silver Honda. A short time later the victim's credit card was used at a gas station in the City of Highland.
Through investigation Detective G. Leininger was able to identify the suspect as James Andrew Oathout. On July 24, 2014, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for Oathout's arrest. The felony warrant is for the charges of PC 211, Robbery and PC 484 I, Theft by Access Card. The bail amount of the warrant is for $250,000.00.
On August 7, 2014, Oathout was arrested for the warrant by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma and is awaiting extradition to San Bernardino County.
