SCPD Body Worn Camera Test 
Dear Community Stakeholder,
The Sutter Creek Police Department has started a test and evaluation of a body worn camera system. This system will allow an officer to digitally record all audio and video interactions between our officers and the public. This system will also record (officer view) of a critical incident and has been invaluable in court proceedings in other jurisdictions.
Numerous studies have been conducted on the officer worn body worn camera concept. These studies have concluded that incidents of use of force and citizen complaints are dramatically reduced as a result of the system.
