The Upper Macungie Township Police Department is currently investigating a series of thefts from vehicles that occurred over the past several days. They include:
1) During the overnight hours of August 7-8, a suspect removed medication from an unlocked vehicle in the 6000 block of Overlook Road.
2) During the same time period, a suspect removed ten dollars in quarters from an unlocked vehicle in the 6000 block of Lehigh Court.
3)During the same time period, a suspect removed a laptop from an unlocked vehicle in the 2000 block of Beechwood Street.
4) During the same time period, a suspect removed two bicycles from a garage in the 6000 block of Forest Knoll Court.
5) On August 10th, at appx. 11:00 pm, a purse was removed from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Lenape Trail.
6) During the overnight hours of August 9-10, a GPS unit, a satellite radio, and change were removed from an unlocked vehicle in the 6000 block of Tupelo Road.
As noted in a previous Nixle release, an arrest was made on August 7th in regards to two males burglarizing a garage on Whispering Woods Circle. At this time UMTPD detectives are currently conducting an investigation into whether the first four incidents listed are related to that crime.
