Advisory

Advisory from Edgewater Park Police about a large animal

On Saturday, damage was caused to a motorcycle in Edgewater Park. It was determined that this damage was caused by a large animal. It is not known what type of animal caused the damage, but it must have been a larger, considerably strong, one. Although We are certainly not trying to cause a panic, I felt that it was necessary to notify the public to be aware of this incident. Appropriate agencies have been contacted and will respond if needed. AFTER EDGEWATER PARK CONSULTED WITH THE STATE WILDLIFE AGENCY, STATE WILDLIFE FEEL THAT THE DAMAGE WAS MOST LIKELY CAUSED BY A LARGE DOG. IF SO, THE DOG IS MOST LIKELY SICK AND DANGEROUS. WHETHER IT WAS A LARGE DOG OR POSSIBLE BEAR, PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE CAUTIOUS. Please do call if you see any large animals in the area of the Edgewater Park/Delanco border. This is all of the information that we have at this time and residents will be notified of any further information when, and if, it becomes available. Please do not call the Police Dept. or Police Dispatch for further information as there is no more at this time.
