On 07/24/14, at 5:30 am, the suspect brandished a knife at an employee when exiting with property he hadn’t paid for.

Suspect:  Male, White, slim build

Between 07/11/14 at 5:00 pm and 07/12/14 at 4:00 pm, unknown suspect(s) entered apartment via rear door opening (door was removed due to victim moving) and pried open basement door.  Property taken:  vanity glass, mirror and chandeliers.

12000 Wilshire

Between 07/23/14 at 8:00 pm and 07/24/14 at 9:25 am, unknown suspect(s) entered business rear door and pried locked drawers and took numerous cell phones. Loss was $36,852.00

Between 07/20/14 at 4:00 pm and 07/21/14 at 8:30 am, while parked in a subterranean garage, window smash, laptop stolen

Between 07/20/14 at 4:30 pm and 07/21/14 at 7:00 am, while parked in a subterranean garage, window smash, wallet & CDL stolen

700 Barrington

Between 07/20/14 at 4:00 pm and 07/21/14 at 8:30 am, while parked in a parking garage, window smash, laptop computer stolen

Between 07/23/14 at 8:00 pm and 07/24/14 at 7:30 am, while parked in a subterranean garage, laptop computers and a garage opener stolen

Suspect entered the location and put clothing into his duffle bag.  Suspect was confronted by store employees and fled on foot with victim’s property. Men’s clothing valued at 200.00.

Suspect:  Male, Black, 37-42 years old

11600 Wilshire (office building)

Between 07/23/14 and 07/28/14

Unknown suspect entered the business and removed the victim’s property.  “Office Creeper’ stole laptop computer valued at $500.00

1100 Barrington Ave (residence)

On 07/24/14 at approximately 10:30 am, suspect removed the victim’s UPS package from front porch.  Suspect:  Male, Hispanic, approx. 40 years old, stole swim suit valued at $90.00

                   1000 Granville Ave (residence)

On 7/26/14, between 6:00 pm and 11:59 pm unknown suspect entered apartment and removed check.  Check for $50.00

100 N. Anita Ave (residence)

Between 7/25/14 (FRI) and 7/27/14, the named suspect (Victim’s girlfriend) took victim’s hard drive valued at $500.00

And just as an added note… earthquake hint of the day… always keep a pair of slip on shoes by your bedside every night in case of an earthquake.  You’re natural instinct is to run—either to get out of the house or to check on loved ones-- but you must be prepared for the extensive broken glass that can severely injure you and incapacitate you.  I had mentioned this tip to a very nice couple I met at the recent Emergency Preparedness Fair on Wilshire.  Since they considered it a good tip, I thought I’d share it with all of you!   And be sure to check out the attachments and to share them with your relatives and friends, especially those folks who are older and more trusting.
