**HMPD Officers charge individual with DWI and Child Abuse. See nixle.com for details** 
On Tuesday, July 14, 2014, at approximately 12:30pm, HMPD Officers stopped a grey mini-cooper vehicle for a traffic violation in the Golf Acres Subdivision. Upon further investigation, the Officers determined that the driver, Andre Allen, 40 years of age, of the 5000 block of Crenshaw Drive in Hope Mills, was intoxicated. The Officers also found that two small children were passengers in Mr. Allen’s vehicle. Mr. Allen was arrested at the scene for DWI, Driving While License Revoked, and two counts of Misdemeanor Child Abuse. Mr. Allen is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 bond for the above charges.
