Important road construction update 
The Village of Gurnee has received notice from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) that staging work on the Grand Avenue bridge over the Des Plaines River will begin during the week of Monday, July 28th, or shortly thereafter, with active construction following. This work will be conducted through 2015 and involve a complete reconstruction of the bridge.
