BLUFFTON, SC (July 14, 2014/2:45 PM) - The investigation into this afternoon's armed robbery of TD Bank in Bluffton continues.
At approximately 1:30 pm, a white male suspect entered the TD Bank (1021 Fording Island Rd), placed a paper bag on the counter, and demanded cash. The suspect advised tellers that he was armed with a gun.
After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the area. No customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported.
The suspect was described as a white male with dark brown hair, goatee, and mustache. He was approximately 5'07", 175 lbs. He was wearing a long-sleeve, dark blue plaid button-up shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, a blue baseball cap, and sunglasses.
It remains unknown if the suspect did, in fact, have a weapon as it was never brandished. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
