LOCATION: West Valley Detention Center, 9500 Etiwanda Ave. Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. 91739
VICTIM: Adult male - Name withheld pending next of kin notification
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, July 10th, 2014 at approximately 9:27 p.m., deputies discovered the victim alone in a cell suffering from an apparent medical emergency. Deputies and medical staff began treating the victim while emergency medical services were summoned to the scene. He was transported to Kaiser Fontana Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy has been scheduled at the Riverside County Coroner's Office to determine the cause of death.
