WSFD responds to the Monticello Fire

West Sacramento Fire responded for the initial attack on the Monticello Fire in Winters. The crew worked through the night on July 4th, supporting CDF Hand Crews patrolling the fire line at Highway 128. Early on the morning of July 5th, the crew was re-assigned to structure protection at the residences along Positas Road. The Monticello Fire is currently the largest wildland fire in California, with nearly 7,000 acres burned.
