GTPD Media Release: Highland High School Wrestling Booster Club Member Charged With Theft Of Funds
June 27, 2014: The treasurer from the Highland High School Wrestling Booster Club was charged with the theft of the booster
club's funds after a month long investigation. Members of the booster club reported the theft to Gloucester
Township Police Detectives after several checks had been returned to the club for insufficient funds.
The investigation revealed that between the month's of December 2013 and March 2014, the club's treasurer,
Sherry Warren, used the account for her benefit to pay for personal bills, hotels, car repairs, cash, food and on
line purchases. The amount of the theft is approximately $4,600.00.
Sherry Warren voluntarily surrendered herself to police detectives at the Gloucester Township Police
Department and was charged with Theft. Bail was set at $20,000.00 10 % cash bail. She was released after
posting bail.
