Bear has been caught and safely removed by a NJ Fish & Wild life. Bear will be let loose in north jersey. Mayor Poliseno would like to thank Spotswood & East Brunswick Police, Helmetta & East Brunswick Animal Control, ASPCA and the NJ Fish & Wild Life. ***
We are presently tracking a 200lb black bear that crossed into spotswood from crescent ave. I placed the schools which have camps and activities in a shelter in place. The state has been called to tranquilize the bear. Stay away from the bear if seen. Call the Police ASAP if you see it either by 911 or 732-251-2121
