The El Segundo Police Department Needs Your Help: See Something, Say Something

The El Segundo Police Department is once again asking for the public's help in reporting any suspicious activity immediately when it is observed.

In the last several days, the department has received numerous reports of overnight vehicle burglaries and day time residential break-ins. In several of these cases, investigators learned neighbors noticed suspicious activity, in some cases observing the crime, yet hesitated to contact the police at the time.

On June 11, residents reported six vehicle break-ins in the following streets: 500-600 West Imperial Av., 200 E. Oak Av., as well as 900 Cedar Street. Computer bags and GPS devices were taken.

Home break-ins have been reported in the following streets: 1400 E. Sycamore Av, 500 Arena, and 600 W. Mariposa. Miscellaneous personal property was taken.

We encourage you to immediately call 911 when you observe a crime in progress or suspicious activity. You ask, "What should I consider suspicious activity?" Watch our public service announcement.
