Police Investigate Stabbing at Residence Near Fireweed

Case: 14-23403

At 4:04 a.m. Anchorage Police Dispatch received a call from a female citizen located at a residence on the 2400 block of Fairbanks Street requesting medical assistance for a male who was bleeding. Police and medics responded to the scene and found an adult male who had been stabbed multiple times. The male was transported to a local hospital with severe but non-life threatening injuries. After conducting a preliminary investigation, it was determined that the victim’s roommate, identified as 26-year-old Demetrius Johnson, had stabbed the victim multiple times. Johnson was arrested and charged with Assault in the first degree.
