"CREDIT CARD FRAUD SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN HIGH END SPORTS CAR"

On 06-04-14, at approx. 1845 hours, a Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputy patrolling in the Roseland area spotted a stolen 2012 McLaren high end sports car worth approx. $240,000.00. The vehicle was stopped on Dutton Avenue and the driver, 19 year old Mohannad Halaweh of Rohnert Park and passenger 19 year old Nhimia Kahsay of Santa Rosa were arrested without incident. Further investigation by Detectives revealed the fraudulently obtained credit card number used to book the stolen sports car was also used to book a 12 million dollar vacation home in Glen Ellen on 06-02-14. The fraudulent charges for the stolen vehicle were $13,000.00 and the property rental was $27,000.00.

Mohannad Halaweh, 19 years old, of Rohnert Park, was booked into the county jail for possession of stolen property and credit card fraud charges. His bail was set at $100,000.

Nhimia Kahsay 19 years old, of Santa Rosa, was booked into the county jail for outstanding fraud warrants out of Del Norte County and will face additional charges related to this investigation. Kahsay’s bail was set at $60,000.
