SMPD is Seeking the Community’s Help - Robbery Incident at Taco Bell Monday Night

Monday night June 2nd at about 10:40 pm, SMPD Officers responded to a robbery incident involving Taco Bell at 1975 S. El Camino Real. In this incident, three suspects, all similarly clothed in hoodies and blue jeans, wearing masks and gloves, entered Taco Bell and held three customers and five employees at bay, robbing them of some Taco Bell proceeds as well as some of their personal property. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun. Thankfully, only one employee suffered a minor injury, and no-one else was hurt.

The suspects fled the scene just seconds before our SMPD Officers arrived.

SMPD is using all of our available resources in this ongoing investigation, but we need the community’s help to identify the suspects in this heinous crime.

Investigators are looking for leads in this case:

Robbery Incident -
• Occurred in the area of 20th Ave and El Camino Real at the Taco Bell Restaurant
• Monday night, June 2nd at about 10:40pm
• Suspects –
o 3 Males – all about 6’0 tall
o all wearing “hoodies” (two black, one gray), masks, and gloves
o Last seen fleeing on foot from the Taco Bell, although a vehicle was heard speeding from the area moments later
o at least one suspect armed with a handgun
