Felony Arrest - Possession of a controlled substance and obtaining a prescription by fraud. 
On the May 29, 2014, Escalon Police Department Officers were flagged down by an employee of Rite-Aid regarding a prescription fraudulently obtained. During the course of their investigation the suspect was identified as, Maria Silva, 33 years old, from Escalon, CA.
Silva was located at a local residence. She was found to be in possession of the fraudulently obtained prescription. Silva was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail, where she was released after arraignment
