SUSPECT#1: Hispanic Male Adult, weighting approximately 230 pounds, wearing an unknown color baseball cap and black t-shirt, no further description
SUSPECT #2 (Driver): Hispanic Female Adult, no further description
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Dark green Honda or Toyota Sedan (partial license plate VLP20)
Details:
On 05/29/2014 at 12:48 pm, Gilroy Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of First Street (Dollar Tree Shopping Center) for a report of a strong arm robbery. The 77 year-old victim was carrying a purse as she walked to her vehicle in the parking lot. She was approached by the suspect’s vehicle at which time suspect#1 exited the vehicle. He pushed the victim to the ground and forcibly removed her purse. He fled south through the parking lot in a dark green Honda; or Toyota sedan, being driven by a Hispanic Female Adult (suspect #2).
Multiple officers responded to conduct an area canvass for the suspect vehicle. Despite their efforts the suspects were not located. The Gilroy Police Department is asking anyone who may have witness this incident to contact the police department.
No injuries were reported during this robbery.
