Hunters Fire ReEntry Information. Evacuation Area will re-open to RESIDENTS only at 6pm today.

Today Wednesday May 28, 2014 beginning at 6:00 PM, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office will open the current evacuated area to RESIDENTS ONLY.  This includes Hunters Valley Access Rd, Hunters Valley Rd, Detwiler Rd & Cotton Creek Rd.

Residents in the current evacuation area will be allowed to return to their homes.

Residents will be required to show identification to enter into the area.

Animals housed at the Mariposa County Animal Control Center can be retrieved between 9am and 5pm Thursday May 29th . Please call 209-966-3615 for assistance.

Please drive with caution in the area as there continues to be heavy Fire and Sheriff Traffic in and around the fire area.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all of those who were impacted during this fire emergency for their ongoing interest, cooperation and patience.
